🏀 Fall After-School Basketball (2025)
Hosted by Future Stars Sports in partnership with Madison Basketball Association
Future Stars Basketball Developmental Program introduces children to the fundamentals of basketball through engaging instruction and gameplay. Experienced coaches work with players on ball handling, shooting technique, footwork, passing, defensive positioning, and overall game awareness. Throughout the program, players will have the opportunity to apply their skills in structured, age-appropriate scrimmages. Participants will learn the importance of teamwork, communication, and good sportsmanship in a fun, supportive environment. This program helps foster a love of the game and prepares young athletes to confidently grow into more advanced levels of play.
📅 Program Details
- Start Date: Monday & Tuesday, September 15th/16th
- End Date: Wednesday, October 21st
- Days: Mondays & Tuesdays (choose 1 or both)
- Time: 4:15–5:15 PM (Exact time TBD)
- Location: Madison Recreation Courts
🏀 Age Groups & Program Details
Our Future Stars Basketball program is designed to meet players where they are developmentally, with age-appropriate drills, instruction, and gameplay that foster confidence and growth.
🏀 Grades 1st–2nd
- Beginner-friendly drills and activities
- Focus on basic basketball fundamentals
- Fun games to build coordination and confidence
🏀 Grades 3rd–4th
- Introduction to proper technique
- Understanding spacing, passing, and defense
- Emphasis on teamwork and decision-making
🏀 Grades 5th–6th
- Introduction to offensive/defensive concepts
- Skill development: shooting, dribbling, footwork
- Structured scrimmages with coaching feedback
⚙️ What to Expect
- 15 minutes of fun drills (dribbling, passing, shooting)
- Followed by structured games and mini-tournaments
- Run by Madison High School coaches and staff
- Stress-free and development-focused
